Edward, Christiana and a four year old Thomas travelled to Australia on the Somersetshire a rigged ship built in 1810.

They were part of the 234 passengers that made their journey on the ship

departing from London on the 20th of April 1839

 and

arriving at Port Adelaide on the 25th of August that same year  1839.
